Recommended Read-aloud
My kids recommend the following chapter books for read-aloud.
Some of them may no longer be in print but are available at the library.
This is a short list to start with - I have to track down some of the books
we all enjoyed so much. I'll keep adding to the list, and I invite you to

Funny
Freaky Friday by Mary Rodgers
Any of the books by Roald Dahl. We all loved Matilda.
Historical fiction:
Little House on the Prairie by Laura Ingram Wilder. It's
really fun to read the whole series one book after the other.
Number the Stars by Lois Lowry.
Sarah Plain and Tall by Patricia Maclachan.
